Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all wedding film and photography services provided by Dixon Visuals, run by Lucas Dixon ("I", "me", "us"). By booking, you ("the couple", "you") agree to these terms. Your booking confirmation or contract sets out the details of your package, and if anything in it differs from these terms, your booking confirmation takes priority.

1. Booking

Your date is secured once you have signed or accepted your booking confirmation and paid the booking fee. Until then, the date remains available to other couples. The booking fee is non-refundable, as it secures your date and means I turn away other enquiries for that day.

2. Payments

The remaining balance is due by the date shown in your booking confirmation. If the balance is not paid on time, I may treat the booking as cancelled by you. Prices are those confirmed at the time of booking and won't change once your booking is confirmed, unless you change your package or add extras.

3. Changes, postponements and cancellations

If you need to change your date, I'll do my best to move your booking to the new date, subject to my availability. Any payments already made will be carried over. If I'm not available on the new date, this will be treated as a cancellation.

If you cancel your booking, the booking fee is non-refundable. Any other payments you have made will be handled as set out in your booking confirmation.

In the unlikely event that I can't film your wedding because of illness, injury or an emergency outside my control, I'll do everything I can to arrange a suitably experienced replacement. If that isn't possible, I'll refund all payments you have made, and my liability will be limited to that amount.

4. On the day

Coverage times are those agreed in your package. Extra coverage on the day can be added by agreement and may be charged separately. For full-day coverage, I ask for a short break and a meal during the day.

I'll work within the rules of your venue and officiant. I can't be held responsible for shots that can't be captured because of venue or officiant restrictions, weather, timings running late, guest behaviour, or anything else outside my control. The Short & Sweet package requires the ceremony and reception to take place at the same venue.

Drone footage is always subject to weather conditions, venue permission and flight regulations. If it isn't safe or permitted to fly on the day, drone footage can't be included.

5. Travel

I'm based in Essex and film across the UK and worldwide. Travel and accommodation costs for weddings further afield or abroad will be agreed with you before you book.

6. Photography

Where your package includes photography, it's provided alongside my photography partner, Tony Davies Weddings. The same terms apply to the photography included in your package.

7. Editing and delivery

I aim to deliver all final films within 2-4 weeks of your wedding. Busy periods can occasionally affect this, and I'll keep you updated if so.

Your films are delivered through an online gallery (Vidflow), where you can watch, share and download them. Please download and keep your own copies, as online galleries are not intended as permanent storage.

The style, editing and choice of shots are at my creative discretion, based on the style shown in my work and anything we discuss before the day. Raw, unedited footage is not included. Music is chosen to suit your film and must be licensed for use, so some commercial songs may not be available.

Small changes to your finished films can be requested within 14 days of delivery. Major re-edits may be charged separately.

8. Copyright and use of your films

Dixon Visuals owns the copyright in all films and photographs I create. You're granted a personal licence to watch, share and keep your films and photos for personal, non-commercial use, including sharing them with family and friends and on social media.

I may use footage and images from your wedding in my portfolio, website and social media. If you'd prefer I didn't, just let me know in writing before your wedding.

9. Liability

I carry professional equipment and backups to protect your footage. In the rare event of a problem such as equipment failure or data loss, my liability is limited to the total amount you have paid for the affected services. I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to you is the one in place when you booked.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
